Woot! Home opener tonight! Home opener is one of the best games of the year to go to. There's always a lot of hoopla. And, we'll get to add another banner (or two, if they decide to do another one for being first in the regular season in the West, ugh), to this:
Since, yes, we did win the division again. Should be fun. There's a street rally before the game with some BMX biking and whatnot, and thats usually ok. And they'll have all the epic video packages. And the place will be super loud (although not playoff loud...playoff loud is fucking epic). And the Shark head will decend (although, not playoff decend, that's too epic for the regular season). And hockey season will really begin for me!
Next year, at the home opener, I expect to be seeing one of these ceremonies (although, you know, with much more Teal, and they can hold the red!): Yeah, the ceremony they do for the raising of the Stanley Cup Champions banner is friggin legit. I desperately wanna take part in one of those in the near future! Tonight will still be fun, though! The promise of a new season, the ambitions to get to the top, and the excitement of getting to see Sharks hockey yet again! Bring on the season!
