Zach Parise's power play goal in the 3rd period was the first goal of the game after 2 tense periods. Parise added in an empty netter with less than 20 seconds left, and the US escaped the Swiss 2-0. Their next game will be Friday for the right to play in the gold medal game, against the winner of the Czech Republic and Finland.
At this point, win or lose on Friday, the US is assured of playing in a medal game. Let's just hope its the good one, now!
GO USA!!!!
