GREEN BAY, WI -- Brett Favre returned to Green Bay last weekend as a member of the Minneasota Vikings; the first time he has ever played at Lambeau Field as a visitor. In honor of this monumental occasion, FOX implemented the first ever "Favre Cam." Basically, FOX had one camera on Brett Favre at all time, even when he wasn't playing. Fans could see him looking over photos, watching the game, picking his nose, drinking some water...it was all Favre, all the time.
When asked about the decision to do this, one FOX executive said "boy, that Brett Favre sure is great, isn't he? And did you hear, he was returning to Lambeau as the VISITOR! These kinds of things need to be documented. The Favre Cam, I wish I could say it was my idea, but it wasn't. Basically, Favre radiates greatness at all times, and we wanted to capture that on film. It was much more interesting to watch than that poopy Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' offense."
The Favre Cam was only availiable on FOX's website, but was apparently a huge hit! Early reports said that the site the Cam was being streamed to had over 2 million hits throughout the game! The hits prompted FOX to look into a new reality TV show called "Greatness." FOX is hoping to get Brett Favre, Tom Brady, and Barack Obama into one house with one another and tape what happens there. Tom Brady is said to be on board, but only if FOX also puts hidden cameras in the Jets' and Dolphins' locker rooms and practice facilities and feeds the footage to his room in the house. Barack Obama said he would only be on board if FOX sold the rights to the show to a "middle of the road" station like CNN or NBC. He didn't want his face to be seen on the Republicans' media outlet. The only one who hasn't yet said he'd be on the show is Brett Favre himself. Favre is said to be weighing his options, and has a phone line constantly open with FOX executives so he can say yes or no to it depending on how he feels at that exact moment. At last count, Favre has agreed to do the show 1,245 times, and has backed out of that agreement 1,244.
Unfortunately, FOX may have some legal trouble in getting this series on the air. Hall of Fame football coach and former broadcaster John Madden is suing FOX for their use of the Favre Cam, saying he had been doing it for years, and FOX never gave him credit for the idea. Says Madden, "I have been running a constant Favre Cam for the last 15 years! Go to www.brettfavrelovesjohnmadden.com and see for yourself! I have hidden cameras in his car, in his house, in his shower, in his bedroom, everywhere! It's all Favre, all the time! It was my idea, and FOX stole it! Brett Favre!!!"
No one from FOX was availiable to respond to Mr. Madden's comments.
