In honor of the Christmas Season (which it officially is now that Thanksgiving is done), it's time for my annual "Welcome Christmas" post!
It is very possible that over the next few weeks, you will encounter at least one, if not many, of the following situations:
~Drive by a house that is lit up so well you could probably see it from outer space.
~You will recieve a present from someone that you did not plan on buying a present for, and then feel guilty about it.
~Someone you know will get legitimately drunk on egg nog.
~A relative or coworker at a holiday get-together will get drunk and start telling embarassing stories about you to everyone else.
~You will go to the mall and have a moment of realization where you now know the answer to the question "how does this crappy store ever stay in business?"
~You will leave the mall vowing to never return there until next Christmas.
~You will hear someone longing for a White Christmas, without bringing up the consequences of snow (e.g., no driving, sidewalk shoveling, cold, wet, damp).
~You will get a Christmas card or letter from someone you forgot you knew.
~You will be reminded that "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" by someone wearing a Santa Claus hat.
~You will have the urge to steal the bell from the Salvation Army folks who are outside every store.
~You will be driving somewhere and inevitably get caught behind a 90 year old lady who only drives during the Holidays and has no idea what she is doing.
~You will receive the BEST PRESENT EVER!, you know, about 50 times as to not hurt anyone's feelings.
~You will bake cookies, listen to cheesy christmas music, and light up your house and a tree...and remember why Christmas is such a fun holiday.
It's officially Christmas Season! Hope you all have a good one!
